The Library has resources to assist you in every aspect of your job search whether it is identifying a career path, preparing a resume, researching companies, analyzing or enhancing your skills, or accesses career research tools online.

We also link to the major job finding sites and related county services for unemployment. The best way to get started in your online job search using the library is to make sure that you have an email account and a library card. This will give you access to all our online job help tools.



Career Transitions





Job Help Center at Main LibraryThe Job Help Center has opened on the first floor of Main Library to help serve the growing needs of job seekers and those in career transition. View video of event. The center includes additional computer labs, reference resources and meeting room facilities to meet increased public demand for job support.

Funding for the Job Help Center has been provided by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Mecklenburg County ABC Board, Phillip L. Van Every Foundation Board, and The Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation.
